Goodreads and Other Challenges

I aced the Goodreads challenge by 100 books! Whoo!

As for all of my other challenges, I kinda gave up on by default. I started out okay, then just slipped and it didn’t seem worth trying to scramble to regroup. I’ve gotten too forgetful and it took time I felt I was lacking. Que sera, sera.

2018 Goals Recap

Litsy

*Reach 10,000 Litfluence points– nope. I’m at 5000+ but I stopped going on Litsy for a long time. I just recently started back.

*Reach 600 followers– not quite. I’m at 413 followers.

(Litsy is an awesome book oriented community. There are apps for Android and Apple, too. If you love books, check it out!)

Blog

*Interact with fellow bloggers more– kinda. That’s been an off and on process depending on energy levels.

*Comment on others’ blog posts more often– kinda. That’s been an off and on process depending on energy levels.

*Respond to comments more often on my own posts– I respond to them all,  but not as quickly as I’d like :/

*Post more creative & discussion pieces– creative, yes, discussion, no. I started participating in the Music Monday and I Love Characters memes as well as posting Need a Laugh, and more recently, Inspirations.

Writing & Reading

Finish writing Language of the Trees– massive fail

Get back into my poetry groove- massive fail

Share my stories-in-progress with (online) critique groups to help improve my writing– I tried it, but reading and critiquing other writers’ pieces took more time and energy than I had to spare. I may try again in the future, when I’m more actively writing.

Start transcribing my Book List to its new notebook/create memory posts from it- meh. I started but that also trickled to a stop

*Complete all of the challenges I’ve joined this year– massive epic fail

Life

Stick to my liver dietary guidelines– I did great until last month :/

Reach goal of 96 oz of water daily- no.

Walk Devil’s Slide Trail one way– yes!

Walk Devil’s Slide Trail both ways- nope. Planning to in the spring.

*Travel to London– no. I traveled to Alaska & Vancouver instead. At Jan beginning, I’m going to Jamaica. It’s a Star Trek devoted cruise. I get to meet Jason Isaacs!!

*Get back into console gaming– not like I’d’ve liked.

  1. I wished you lived in South Texas Aislynn because I would so suggest you see this doctor that I am seeing… Anyway I hope that you reach more of your goals this year… while not stressing about 2018. I like to make lots of goals so that when I don’t reach all of them I feel like I still was being active the whole year… plus it leaves plenty for the next year!! <3

    1. Thanks! I feel this will be a better year, goal-wise. And in general. That’s a good philosophy you have there! I’ll have to try and adopt it. 😄
